Grew up in music — a childhood performing career, a stretch at Radio Disney, and years of entertainment reporting after that. He is the one who has been staying up for New Music Friday since long before there was a podcast to put it in.
Eric Krueger
Reads contracts for a living, which is how “Eric's Little Legal Corner” happened. Off the clock he is out with a film camera or halfway through a book, and on-mic he asks really interesting questions that everyone either knows the answer to or hasn't thought to ask yet.
how this started
One microphone,
and no plan.
Eric gave Ricky a microphone for Christmas. It was meant for singing, and it sat in the box for a few months. Then the two of them went out and bought a second one.
The first episode was recorded back in May and has never seen the light of day. It worked anyway — enough that after four or five more, they started sending it to people. New Music Friday wasn't a format decision either; Ricky had been staying up for the new releases for years, and now there is somewhere to put it.
It is now a weekly excuse for Ricky to unload everything he knows about music and has turned into the best part of both their weeks. Mostly, they are just having fun with it.
